Language sections
Answers in your language section
European School students study the same subject under different vocabularies. EB Tutor writes in the language you are examined in, using the terminology your teacher and your marking scheme use.
Terminology, not translation
A translated answer sounds foreign and uses words that never appear in your textbook. EB Tutor works from the official EB syllabus in your section, so a derivative is a “dérivée” in the French section and an “Ableitung” in the German section, using the phrasing and conventions each section actually teaches.

Comment dériver f(x) = x² · ln(x) ?
- On applique la dérivée d'un produit : (uv)′ = u′v + uv′.
- Avec u(x) = x² et v(x) = ln(x) : u′(x) = 2x et v′(x) = 1/x.
- Donc f′(x) = 2x·ln(x) + x²·(1/x) = x(2ln(x) + 1), pour x > 0.
German section · same question
Wie leite ich f(x) = x² · ln(x) ab?
- Es gilt die Produktregel: (u·v)′ = u′·v + u·v′.
- Mit u(x) = x² und v(x) = ln(x): u′(x) = 2x, v′(x) = 1/x.
- Also f′(x) = 2x·ln(x) + x²·(1/x) = x(2ln(x) + 1) für x > 0.

Ask in one language, get answers in another
You can type your question however it comes to you, whether that's a photo of a Dutch worksheet or a question typed in English, and the answer still comes back in the section you selected, so what you write down matches what you will be marked on.
