If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital purchases under EU Directive 2011/83/EU. That means you can cancel within 14 days of the purchase and receive a full refund, no reason required.
When you buy an EB Tutor Pro subscription, you can choose to start using the service immediately. Under EU law that choice waives your 14-day right of withdrawal, but only if you are clearly informed and give explicit prior consent. That is why our checkout shows a separate, unticked consent box stating:
"I agree that EB Tutor may begin immediately and I understand I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once I start using the service."
If you tick this box and complete payment, you are giving that explicit prior consent and you lose the 14-day withdrawal right for the current billing period. If you do not tick it, you keep the 14-day right and can request a full refund within 14 days by emailing us — but access to Pro features will begin only after those 14 days.
Beyond the 14-day window (or once you have explicitly waived it), subscription payments are non-refundable for the current period. You can, however, cancel at any time to stop the next renewal. Cancellation is free and requires no reason.
You can cancel any time from Settings → Subscription inside the app. Cancellation:
You can also reactivate before the period ends without losing your saved question history.
If a renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, bank block, etc.):
We consider goodwill refunds outside the 14-day window on a case-by-case basis — for example if a service outage prevented you from using EB Tutor for a substantial part of a paid period. Please contact us at ebtutor.online/contact.
